Being that I am an evening student I would definitely attend the 9:30pm vigil. It is horrible what happened and being a mom myself and I only begin to imagine how those parents of those children must feel as well as the parents of the gunman. Its hard to raise your children and you want to know you did right by them and when tradegy happens you question yourself to the point of insanity. My heart goes out to all those families.

I believe the vigil should be held at night. There would be less people trying to rush off to their jobs or to do whatever else needs to be done. Having the vigil at night would allow those who are sincere to have a peaceful moment out of the chaotic days that we have endured.

Even though I am a day time student I work until about 6pm, and because it's a candle light ceremony 9:30p would be the best time to remember those who sadly passed away during the Virginia Tech shooting. The candle lights would be much more stronger and symbolic in the dark than in the afternoon. This is definitely a great idea for the students of NJCU to come together and show our respect and condolences to all the families and students of Virginia Tech.

Being that I am a day time student and I dont get out of work until about 6pm, a night time vigil would be the best time for NJCU students to come together and show their respect and support for those that have sadly passed on that tragic Monday morning. The candle lights in the evening will also be a lot more symbolic than in the afternoon because during the day they dont glow as much. Therefore, everyone should take the time to come out and give their condolences for the familes and students of Virgina Tech. Another horrible incident in American history.

i am also a day student. i agree that the ceremony should take place at night to allow moments of silence and prayer during the ceremony.
